SHRUB! A fizzy drink I first got introduced to at @gjustabakery in L.A🍹🍓 I had a Strawberry version! So good!! So when I saw Shrubs on the menu @caravanrestaurants I just had to order one!! 🍹🌱🍹 Shrub Is a fruit-and-vinegar syrup that you add to sparkling water, soda or booze. It’s a bit of a tart acidic, not to sweet, fruit drink. You can easily make your own Shrub with any kind of fruit. Chop or smash up the fruit of choice to release their juices. Macerate in sugar and optionally add vanilla, thyme, rosemary. Let sit 10 min., then add the apple cider vinegar and stir to combine everything. Cover and leave in the fridge for 24-48 hours, then strain. To turn it into a cocktail, combine the alcohol of choice (whisky) , fruit shrub, and lemon juice in a glass with ice. Add a splash of soda or sparkling water and garnish. The Travelling Toast🥑🍞 Made some Pre Train Toasts! 🥑⚡️✨ first.. a little insight 1/ I make killer Travel Packs! 2/ Makeing it a sport to find creative Travel Snacks Packs Hacks 3/ Don't ever let me become hangry 4/ Keep calm and carry food (#moestuin @camillecieters ) (#redbellpeper @sr_rubianegra ) (cucumber, carrots, activated dance almonds, toasted dance pumpkin seeds, chocolate bars, coconut oil,..) Anyyyyway!! London always reminds me of this Killer guacamole with basil I had at the Electric Cinema, so there couldn't be a more perfect time to make this!! 🥑🥑🍋🍋🍞🍞 Lemon-basil aioli w/ Avocado! 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp lemon zest 1 egg yolk 1 small garlic clove, crushed to a paste 1/2 to 3/4 cups (approximately) of a neutral flavored oil 3 to 4 large fresh basil leaves, finely chopped Salt and pepper Whisk together the lemon juice, zest, egg yolk, and garlic. Whisk in the oil very slowly -- one drop at a time and working up to a thin, steady stream as the mixture starts to thicken and emulsify. You can also whip everything together in a blender or food processor, but aioli made by hand has a better texture. When enough oil is incorporated to reach your desired thickness you can stop adding it, and fold in the basil and salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate for at least an hour before using to allow the flavors to settle and develop. 🍞🥑 Toast up your favorite sourdough , @lpqbel , on a heated grill pan. Remove. Smear on Aïoli. Add avo slices. Some extra shredded basil leaves. Sea salt flakes! Pack it up!
